Woman charged with murder after Killingly shooting

KILLINGLY, R.I. (WLNE) — Connecticut State Police said a woman was charged with murder after she allegedly shot and killed a man on Oct. 27.

65-year-old Michelle Yeagher was charged with murder, carrying a firearm while under the influence, risk of injury to a child, and reckless endangerment.

Troopers responded to a home on Pratt Road in Dayville around 9:20 p.m. for a report of a shooting.

At the scene, troopers found a man with a single gunshot wound to the chest, according to CSP.

The victim was taken to Day Kimball Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Inside the home, troopers arrested Yeagher.

Yeagher was arraigned on Oct. 28 and held on $1,000,000 bail.
