Woman charged with OUI after Thanksgiving crash into cranberry bog

WAREHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — A woman is facing charges after her car ended up upside down in a cranberry bog in Wareham, Massachusetts on Thanksgiving.

Wareham police responded to the cranberry bog on Maple Springs Road just after midnight on Thursday.

A Good Samaritan was helping the driver out of the car submersed in the water when first responders arrived.

The driver, 31-year-old Alisha McGough, of Wareham, Massachusetts, was charged with operating under the influence — alcohol, and negligent operation.

McGough will be arraigned in Wareham District Court on Friday.
