UPDATE: Victim identified after Fatal crash in Fall River on Friday night

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Fall River Police said a woman was hit and killed by a car on President Avenue on Friday night.

62-year-old Donalda Ferreira was attempting to cross President Avenue when she was hit around 9:05 p.m. on Friday.

The driver was a 42-year-old woman from Fall River who was driving a Chevy Sonic. Police said the driver remained on the scene, was not impaired and was not arrested after being interviewed by Police.

Ferreira was taken to Charlton Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
