Woman hospitalized following early morning stabbing in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE)- A woman was transported to the hospital after being stabbed early on Monday morning in Pawtucket.
The Pawtucket Police Department said that the 29-year-old victim was stabbed by 43-year-old January Fontaine at around 3 a.m. near Dexter and Barton Streets.
The two began arguing when the victim told Fontaine that she had been sleeping with her boyfriend.
At that point, Fontaine slashed at the victim with a pair of scissors, cutting her ring finger and bicep.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both parties do not have permanent addresses.
