Woman injured in Attleboro fire

A woman was injured in a fire in Attleboro Thursday night.

Flames broke out at a house on Redgate Road around 2 p.m. Uppn arrival, first responders located the female resident suffering from multiple burns, but managed to make it out of the home on her own.

"That group had to stop and render aid to her," said Attleboro Fire Chief Scott Lachance.

The woman is at Rhode Island Hospital receiving treatment, but there is no word on her condition.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
