Woman shot in Providence

Providence Police are investigating after a woman was shot Wednesday night.
Officials tell ABC6 the 29-year-old victim was shot at the intersection of Broad and Stanwood Streets just before 9 p.m.
The victim was driven to Rhode Island Hospital by a friend and is currently in surgery. Police are unsure of the extent of her injuries.
