‘WomanCare’ event offering free cervical and breast cancer screenings 4/26
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Brown University Health Cancer and Community Health Institutes will host a free breast and cervical cancer screening program on April 26 at Rhode Island Hospital.
The event, WomanCare, will take place from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. for under and uninsured woman ages 21 and up.
No medical insurance is required to participate in the program, which will also feature education and outreach for women in this age group.
The program includes clinical breast exams, screening mammograms, pelvic exams and Pap tests.
Patients in attendance will be offered free transportation, language interpretation, childcare, lunch and parking.
