Woonsocket bar robbed at gunpoint

WOONSOCKET, R.I (WLNE) – Police are searching for a suspect after a Woonsocket bar was robbed at gunpoint early Friday morning.

Woonsocket Police said the robbery occurred just after midnight Friday at Brews and Cues on Rathbun Street.

Police say a dark-skinned male suspect wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a ski mask pointed a gun at the bartender, demanding money from the register.

The suspect fled the scene with approximately $100 cash.

Police provided surveillance footage in hopes of identifying the thief. Anyone with information on the incident or the suspect is asked to contact Woonsocket Police at (401) 766-1212.
