Woonsocket Police identify 3 people killed in shooting

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Woonsocket Police Department has identified the three people shot and killed in a murder-suicide on Nov. 3.

Police identified the victims as 40-year-old Kimberly Pieranunzi, 45-year-old Donald Roderick Jr., and 24-year-old Sean Rivera.

According to police, Kimberly lived in the the Rathbun Street apartment with her boyfriend, Donald, her 19-year-old daughter, and her daughter’s boyfriend Sean.

On the night of the shooting, police said Sean and his girlfriend were having an argument when Sean “pulled a gun and demanded sexual relations.”

The 19-year-old told police that Sean then allegedly sexually assaulted her.

Police said she then ran to her mother’s room, where Sean followed and allegedly shot Kimberly multiple times.

The 19-year-old was able to escape the apartment and call police inside a local business.

During this time, Donald arrived home from work and was allegedly shot by Sean.

Police said Sean then shot himself.

Police responded to the apartment and allegedly seized a firearm from Sean’s possession, which police discovered was stolen from Maine.

Woonsocket police said the shooting was “specific to the residents of the apartment” and there is no threat to the public.
