Woonsocket police identify man pulled from Blackstone River

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Woonsocket police on Monday identified the man who was pulled from a river over the weekend.

Chief Thomas Oates said 35-year-old Derek Martineau, who’s from Woonsocket, was pulled from the Blackstone River Sunday night.

Oates told ABC 6 that there was “no indication of anything criminal.”

No further information was immediately released.
