Woonsocket Police raise money for fallen officers

Dressed in neon yellow and with buckets at the ready, they’re helping families of fallen officers which leads up to their annual C.O.P.S. Walk- a three and a half day run from
Lt. Ed Cunanan said, “It just keeps going around the clock for three and a half days so you could be out there at three o’clock in the morning when it’s your turn and it’s not so fun then.”
Around May 13th, 25,000 to 40,000 officers will converge in D.C. for National Police Week. There will be a candlelight vigil honoring the nation’s fallen officers. It’s a horrible reminder of lives lost including two
“In this day and age in our country with everything that’s going on with law enforcement and our relationship with the community just to have somebody look at you dead in the eye and say thank you means a lot to us,” said Cunanan.
It may be just a few bucks here and there but it all adds up.
