Woonsocket Police seek sex offender for soliciting a child

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) – Woonsocket Police are searching for a known sex offender for indecent solicitation of a child.
Thursday afternoon Woonsocket Police shared an image of Jose Ortiz, 39, a Level III sex offender who has been previously convicted of 1st Degree Child Molestation as well as failing to register as a sex offender.
Anyone with information on Ortiz’s whereabouts is asked to contact Woonsocket Police at 401-766-1212.
