Woonsocket Water Division announces more streets for flushing

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Woonsocket Water Division will continue spring water flushing today.

Flushing will continue in the following areas:

• Elm Street From Dulude Ave
• Social St.
• Wood Ave  from Robinson St to Cass Ave.
• Cumberland St. From Hamlet Ave
• Cass Ave From Dulude Ave to Cumberland St.
• Chester St to John Cummings Way.
• East School St From Rathbun St to Hazel St.
• Also,  Privilege St From Rathbun St to Winter St.  including all side streets in these areas.

The flushing will start at 9 p.m. Tuesday April 30 and continue until 5am, Wednesday May 1.

Officials advised that residents may experience discolored water and lower than normal pressure. If residents experience discolored water, they are advised to run their COLD water for a short time to clear the lines.
