WORCESTER, Mass. (WLNE)– The city of Worcester will be honoring a teen who died in 2023 with a street named in his memory.

Harris Wolobah was starting his sophomore year of high school when he died as a result of the “One Chip Challenge” in September of that year.

Wolobah was described by his family as a “soaring student and basketball player” who made an impact in his community.

On Tuesday, Worcester mayor Joseph Petty and the Worcester City Council will officially inaugurate “Harris Thompson Wolobah Way.”

The ceremony officially honoring Wolobah will be held at the intersection of Shore Drive and South Frontage Road at 4 p.m., where a section of the road will be dedicated for Wolobah.
