PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) —  A Donald W. Wyatt Detention Facility inmate accused of smuggling drugs inside the prison was indicted on Nov. 19, according to Acting United States Attorney Sara Miron Bloom.

Brian Slutzkin was charged with possessing contraband in prison and possession of controlled substances with the intent to distribute.

According to Bloom, officers searched Slutzkin at the facility and found a sock in his possession containing “seven balloons crafted out of latex gloves.”

Inside the balloons, Bloom said officers allegedly found “distributable quantities of a powder containing fentanyl, pills containing oxycodone hydrochloride and acetaminophen, strips containing buprenorphine and naloxone, and marijuana.”
