PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) –  Join ABC6 for information on some notable events happening in the Rhode Island and Bristol County areas, today.

  • The Board of Elections is meeting to discuss multiple objectives, including combining polling locations, mail ballots, and compensation for poll workers. That’s at 9:00 AM.
  • The Substance Abuse Council in Providence is hosting a zoom meeting with an update on the 2021 city budget and engagement, as well as a discussion about behavioral health crisis intervention. That’s at 3:00 PM.
  • And at 5:00 PM, a sit-in at Burnside Park. The peaceful protest includes poetry and musical performances.
