#12 PC Men’s Hockey Excited To Welcome Fans Back
The Providence College men’s and women’s hockey programs will combine for 24 appearances on NESN/NESN+ as Hockey East and the New England Sports Network (NESN) today (Sept. 30) unveiled a slate of at least 104 games that will be telecast on the region’s top sports network during the 2021-22 season. The schedule marks the largest-ever agreement between the two entities, who have been partners for the entirety of the league’s existence and in 2019, Hockey East became NESN’s premier college partner.
The men’s program will appear on NESN/NESN+ a total of 16 times in 2021-22, including 11 games broadcast live from Schneider Arena. The women’s program will make eight appearances, including four games at Schneider Arena.
With the television scheduled announced, men’s hockey’s series against Boston College on Jan. 21-22 has flipped venues. The Friars will travel to Boston College on Friday, Jan. 21 and host the Eagles on Saturday, Jan. 22. The matchup against Boston University at Schneider Arena in February has been moved back a day to Thursday, Feb. 10.
Women’s hockey finalized its November series against Boston College. The Friars will host the Eagles on Friday, Nov. 12 before visiting Chestnut Hill on Saturday, Nov. 13.
