NHL Suspends Brad Marchand For Three Games For Slew-Footing

NEW YORK (Nov. 29, 2021) – Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand has been suspended for three games, without pay, for slew-footing Vancouver Canucks defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson during NHL Game No. 326 in Boston on Sunday, Nov. 28, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 1:08 of the first period.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Marchand will forfeit $91,875.00. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
