Brown’s Tamenang Choh Earns Ivy League Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Tamenang Choh of the Brown men’s basketball team has been named the Ivy League Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday.

Choh picked up his 1,000th career point in his hometown of Lowell, Mass. as he scored a career-high 26 to lead the Bears to a 73-63 victory over UMass Lowell. On the week, he averaged 18.5 points as he shot 55.6% from the floor and chipped in 6.5 rebounds per game as well.

The grad student capped his week with 11 points, six rebounds, and three assists in a 79-66 win at home against Sacred Heart.

On the season, Choh is averaging 9.8 points per game, a team-high 7.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists. This is his first weekly award of the 2021-22 campaign and the team’s second after Kino Lilly Jr. was named Rookie of the Week on Nov. 15.

The Bears return to action this Tuesday, Dec. 7 when they hit the road to take on Merrimack at 7 p.m.
