Man arrested for breaking into house naked to undergo mental health evaluation

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) – The man arrested for breaking into a home in Cranston and confronted a security guard while completely naked was arraigned Friday morning and will undergo a mental health evaluation.
35-year-old Paul Sawyer was arrested Wednesday after police say he exposed himself while harassing a security guard in a parking lot, and then broke into a Cranston home while the owner was inside.
Sawyer is charged with one count of breaking and entering and two counts of disorderly conduct.
The judge ordered Sawyer to undergo a mental health evaluation, as well as an evaluation for substance abuse.
Sawyer was released on $5K surety. He is scheduled to appear in court again in March.
