401 West: Four Rhode Islanders Shine for Springfield Academy

Springfield Commonwealth Academy features four Rhode Island standouts on its prep basketball team.

That includes seven foot Pawtucket native Isaiah Miranda, who played in the Ocean State for the first time in years at last weekend’s National Prep School Invitational.

Mirinada is a top 50 recruit in the country and holds offers from blue blood college basketball programs.

He’s joined on the Cyclones by Tyriek Weeks, the son of former UMass Minuteman Tyrone Weeks, and the younger brother of TJ Weeks, who plays at Massachusetts now.

Also on the roster: former Bishop Hendricken guard Justin Perez and Providence native Alvin Baez
