Attleboro Mayor Paul Heroux to be on ballot for Bristol County sheriff

ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — Attleboro Mayor Paul Heroux will officially be on the ballot for Bristol County sheriff.

Heroux submitted his petition on Tuesday and filed with nearly 1,600 signatures. He has over 400 donations so far.

Heroux has been elected as mayor of Attleboro three times. He has also worked in the Philadelphia and Massachusetts prison systems.

Current Bristol County Sheriff Tom Hodgson told ABC 6 News in April that he will run his fifth time in office.

The Massachusetts primary is Sept. 6 and the general election is Nov. 8.
