Hoops Over Violence’s Positive Message Grows

An annual event on our sports calendar: Hoops over Violence held at the John Hope Settlement House in Providence.

The event is put on by former Saint Ray’s standout and Division I basketball player Corey Wright Jr., who coaches and trains some of the area’s best prep players.

The event continues to use the game of basketball as an example to keep kids doing the right thing.
