PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Cranston man charged in connection to an officer-involved shooting earlier this year is set to appear in court Wednesday.

Kyle Bento, 49, is charged with burglary and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

In January, Providence police responded to a breaking and entering on Hope Street.

When they arrived, Bento allegedly got into his car and drove recklessly towards police.

Police fired two shots at Bento’s car before arresting him.
