‘Good Burger 2’ filming impacts traffic on Mineral Spring Avenue

NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Sections of Mineral Spring Avenue in North Providence closed throughout the day Wednesday amid “Good Burger 2” filming.

North Providence residents lined up across the street from the old Friendly’s restaurant, now the Good Burger, to watch the film production and hopefully catch a glimpse of some celebrities. Many of them were shocked to see the notoriously busy road quiet, calling it something they had never seen before.

The filming of “Good Burger 2” began in North Providence earlier this month. The movie will be filmed throughout the Ocean State into the summer.

Actors Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell are taking back their roles as the comedic duo Dexter and Ed, who wreaked havoc in the 1997 film.
