Gaspee fireworks show delayed to Sunday

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Gaspee Fireworks show that was set to happen tonight has been rescheduled to Sunday.

This is the second time the show at Salters Grove has been rescheduled after inclement weather on June 3 prevented the festivities.

Mayor Frank Picozzi said that the Gaspee Days Symphony in the Park show that was also set for Saturday night has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.

“So far this year we haven’t had great luck with the weather for our events but hopefully our luck will change,” he said.
