RISPCA concludes construction on cat room in Warwick

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals announced renovations to the cat rooms at its new facility in Warwick are complete.

The renovations at 155 Plan Way were designed by Rescue Rebuild, a community-driven shelter renovation program and were funded by The Alex and Elisabeth Lewyt Charitable Trust.

The newly renovated rooms have a nautical theme that a spokesperson for the RISPCA said will invite adopters to stay a while and meet the cats living there.

“The new space will allow cats to lounge, explore or play on sailboat shelves, rope bridges, and a buoy cat tower,” said Spokesperson Stephanie Van Patten.
