New Bedford celebrates Feast of the Blessed Sacrament parade

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The Feast of the Blessed Sacrament was held for the 107th time this weekend in New Bedford.

Nearly 200,000 were expected to attend this year’s feast.

The event included four days of authentic Portuguese food and drinks, including wine from Madeira, as well as live music, dancing, and carnival games.

The celebration is one of the largest Portuguese feasts in the world and the organizers said lets all attendees ” share in the rich Madeiran heritage and family values.”
