Shake Shack opens at Cranston’s Garden City Center
CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — A Shake Shack restaurant opened at Cranston’s Garden City Center on Tuesday.
It’s the second Shake Shack location in Rhode Island.
The burger chain donated $1 from every sandwich sold on its opening day to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank in accordance with its Stand for Something Good mission to “improve the quality of life for all Rhode Islanders by advancing solutions to the problem of hunger.”
Doors opened at 11 a.m. The first 100 people recieved free Shake Shack merchandise.
“Shake Shack puts community at the center of what they do, which aligns beautifully with our goals at Garden City Center,” said Joe Koechel, general manager of Garden City. “Not only is the food fresh and absolutely delicious but, their ability to partner with local organizations, schools, and artists will result in our community welcoming them with open arms.”
