RIDOH reopens Middletown beach to swimming

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Health recommended reopening Third Beach in Middletown to swimming.

The beach was one of several closed on Wednesday due to unsafe bacteria levels.

Officials said they will continue to monitor the bacteria levels and water quality through Labor Day.
