LINCOLN, R.I. (WLNE) — Classes resumed Tuesday at a technical high school in Lincoln after a “concerning odor” forced students to be moved to the Community College of Rhode Island.

The incident happened Monday at Davies Career and Technical High School.

In a letter to parents Monday night, Mary Watkins, who’s the director of the school, said the odor was “deemed by a hazmat team not to be gas and not to be harmful.”

Watkins said they will relocate classes in the “impacted classrooms should the odor” return or continue.

The cause of the “concerning” smell wasn’t immediately released.
