Democratic candidate Daniel Wall to represent Ward 6 in Cranston

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Unofficial results released by the Rhode Island Board of Elections says Democratic candidate Daniel Wall won the special election and will represent Ward 6 in Cranston City Council.
Wall received a total of 840 votes, followed by Republican candidate Anthony Melillo, who received 627 votes. Independent candidate Robert Lancia received 95 votes, and Independent candidate Marc Bochner received 91.
Wall will replace former City Councilman Matt Riley after he resigned, following his arrest on drug charges back in May.
Riley was then held without bail after a court appearance on child molestation charges in June.
