PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — After the city of Providence moved to evict Skyline at Waterplace over accusations that they violated terms of their lease, the company’s appeal was accepted and the business resumed operation as usual on Tuesday.

According to Michael Lepizzera Jr., legal representative for Skyline at Waterplace, the previously filed eviction notice has been vacated.

By appealing the move to evict Skyline from the Waterplace property, Lepizzera Jr. said the company will be able to “start anew in Superior Court” rather than have the case move to District Court.

Back in April, of this year, the city of Providence filed a suit to evict Skyline, claiming the company failed to maintain the property by leaving trash, waste, furniture, and kitchen equipment outside.
