Atlantic 10 Conference To Modify Schedule In Several Sports For 2020-2021

At a virtual spring meeting for the conference Thursday, the Atlantic 10 discussing a number of issues, including schedules & championship formats for 2020-2021.

The A10, which includes the University of Rhode Island, will regionalize and condense conference schedules by 25 percent in the sports of field hockey, volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer, baseball, softball and women’s lacrosse. Additionally, in several sports, the Atlantic 10 championship was reformatted to a four-team postseason tournament.

Those changes did not affect men’s and women’s basketball at this time.
