Department of Labor and Training sent letters to roughly 3K Rhode Islanders verifying personal information

The Department of Labor and Training has sent out letters to roughly 3 thousand claimants to verify personally identifiable information through the Social Security Administration.

Angelika Pellegrino, a spokesperson for the DLT wants Rhode Islanders to know these letters are real and not a scam.

The DLT is working to verify information as part of the ongoing investigation into unemployment fraud.
