Massachusetts State Police say suspect in May 2023 homicide should be considered ‘armed and dangerous’

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Four men have been indicted in a previously unsolved May 13, 2023 homicide of 23-year-old Diamonte Odom of Fall River.
Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III announced the indictments of Tajon Saxon, 26, Quanif Johnson, 26, Dioni Tavarez-Leonirio, 25 and Devin Alves, 18 in connection with the homicide.
Saxon remains at large and is the subject of an intensive manhunt.
Saxon was described as a black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall and approximately 160 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.
Police said he has used the alias Jameel Carr and has “close ties” to the Fall River area, Rhode Island, and New York.
Saxon is also wanted on a default warrant in the May 2021 Fall River double-homicide of Miguel Sanjurjo and Jovaughn Mills.
He is charged with two counts of accessory to murder after-the-fact in the 2021 case.
Police said Saxon should be considered armed and dangerous.

Fall River police responded to multiple 911 calls regarding shots fired in the area of 275 County Street on May 13, 2023 at around 10:44 p.m.
Odom was found suffering from a gunshot wound to his face by first responders.
He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
The indictments follow a long-term grand jury investigation into the homicide.
Quanif Johnson faces multiple charges including murder and carrying an illegal firearm. He is currently in custody in Rhode Island in connection with a homicide in that state.
Dioni Tavarez-Leonirio was charged with accessory to murder after-the-fact and was arraigned at Fall River Superior Court on December 22, 2023.
His bail was set at $5,000 cash.
Devin Alves faces charges of trafficking Fentanyl among other charges.
He was arraigned on January 3 at Fall River Superior Court and held on $7,500 cash bail.
