MANCHESTER, N.H. (WLNE) — WCVB shared that Adam Montgomery told a judge Wednesday he wants to admit to two of his charges in the case of his daughter’s death.

Nearly five years after Harmony Montgomery’s disappearance in 2019, her father accused of murdering her is on trial.

Montgomery admitted to falsifying physical evidence and abusing Harmony Montgomery’s corpse Wednesday, WCVB reported.

NewsCenter 5 legal analyst Greg Henning said that Montgomery could be convicted of these offenses and not face life in prison.

Henning believes that the defense attorneys could be “trying to keep some of the gruesome details away from the jury.”

The decision does not change Montgomery’s initial plea of not guilty. He is still facing a second-degree murder charge in connection with his daughter’s death.

WCVB further reported that the jurors were taken on a tour Wednesday afternoon of locations related to the case.

Montgomery waived his right to be in court yesterday.

WCVB shared that it is unsure that Montgomery will appear at the opening statements beginning Thursday morning.
