URI’s Season Opening Opponent Unknown after Marquette Pulls Out of Tip Off Tournament

The University of Rhode Island’s men’s basketball team lost a game against a Big East opponent when their game against Providence College was canceled.

Now they’ve lost two, as Marquette has reportedly pulled out of the Hall of Fame Tip Off Tournament that the Rams are in.

Marquette will NOT play in the Hall of Fame event at the Mohegan Sun, sources told @Stadium.

HOF field is currently URI, Virginia Tech, Temple and Minnesota, per sources.
