RHODE ISLAND VS. SAINT LOUIS – SERIES NOTES

Saturday’s game will be the 25th all time between Rhode Island and Saint Louis, with Rhody holding a 13-11 advantage in the series.
Saint has won four in a row in the series, including each of its last two visits to the Ryan Center.
Rhode Island is 6-4 all time when hosting Saint Louis.
URI’s last victory over the Billikens came in a 65-54 win at home on Feb. 2, 2019.
Last season, Saint Louis beat the Rams 76-71 at Chaifetz Arena.
Rhode Island trailed by eight points with four minutes to go before Malik Martin sparked a rally, hitting a layup, blocking a shot to force a shot clock violation and then banking a 3-point basket to cut into the deficit. Ishmael Leggett hit two free throws to tie the score 71-71 with 1:24 go go. However, Gibson Jimerson (24 points) buried his sixth 3-pointer of the game to put the Billikens up with 31 seconds remaining, and the Rams could not comeback one more time.
Both teams come into the game struggling. Rhode Island is looking to snap a five-game losing streak, while Saint Louis has dropped four of its last five contests .
