PC Alum Burke Honored By Naismith Hall of Fame
Providence College alum Doris Burke was honored by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame’s Curt Gowdy award for Electronic Media Thursday.
In her acceptance speech, she called Providence the start of her career, and thanked school officials for taking a full bus from Providence to Springfield for the event.
She wrapped up her speech with an emotional thank you to her family.
