Man found guilty in Fall River shooting

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Police Department said a man was found guilty for a shooting that occurred in September 2023.

30-year-old Mahamadou Kante III was found guilty of assault and battery by discharge of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, and carrying a loaded firearm.

Kante was arrested in Rhode Island for charges in connection with the shooting of a 42-year-old. The victim survived the incident.

Kante also faces an additional charge of carrying a firearm without a license with a trial that will begin on Nov. 18.
