Bryant’s Earl Timberlake Earns Second America East Player of the Week Nod This Season

BOSTON — Bryant men’s basketball senior Earl Timberlake was named the America East Player of the Week on Monday.

The honor comes on the heels of a dominant two-game performance for Timberlake in which he averaged 20.5 ppg, 10.5 rpg and 4.5 apg in wins over NJIT and UMBC. Timberlake picks up his second weekly honor of the year.

Timberlake posted back-to-back 20-point double-doubles, giving him five double-doubles in his last seven games. He started the week with 21 points on 10-of-11 shooting, while chipping in 10 rebounds and three assists as Bryant raced past NJIT. Timberlake then helped the Bulldogs hold off UMBC on Saturday, finishing with 20 points, 11 rebounds and six assists.

The Washington, D.C., native is second in the America East with 11 double-doubles and is averaging 15.0 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 4.6 apg and 2.4 bpg in league play.

Bryant returns to the floor on Thursday night at Vermont.
