URI Looks Back at Latest Road Loss After Falling to 1-7 in Away Games

Robbie Avila and Gibson Jimerson combined for 43 points to lead Saint Louis to an 81-66 win over Rhode Island Saturday afternoon.

Rhody (17-9, 6-8 Atlantic 10) could not keep pace with the host Billikens (15-12, 8-6 A-10), who never trailed. Every time URI made a run, SLU had a response.

A driving layup by David Green got Rhode Island within one at 43-42 with 17:03 to go. From there, it was all Saint Louis. An immediate 7-0 run gave the Billikens control and they outscored the Rams 38-24 the rest of the way to cruise down the stretch.
