Bryant Plays for America East Regular Season Title Tuesday

The Bryant men’s basketball team hosts New Hampshire on Tuesday night at the Chace Athletic Center with a chance to win the America East Regular Season Championship outright. Tip is set for 6:00 p.m.

Bryant enters Tuesday at 13-2 in the league, one game ahead of Vermont. The Bulldogs have clinched a share of the regular season title but a win would give the Black and Gold the outright title and home court advantage throughout the 2025 Jersey Mikes America East Men’s Basketball Playoffs.

THE SERIES
Bryant owns an 11-5 lead in the all-time series with UNH and has won each of the last three meetings. That includes a 95-76 victory in Durham on Jan. 23.
Connor Withers led Bryant with 27 points on 6-of-10 shooting from three. Barry Evans and Rafael Pinzon each chipped in 18 and the Bulldogs shot 11-of-28 from three as a team.
STATE OF THE AMERICA EAST
Bryant enters Tuesday at 13-2 and in first place in the America East. The Bulldogs hold a 1.0 game lead over Vermont (12-3). The Catamounts close the year with UAlbany at home.

Bryant can clinch the America East Regular Season Championship outright with a victory on Tuesday.
The middle of the standings are very muddied with spots 4-7 separated by just two total games. UAlbany is currently 8-7, while Binghamton (7-8), UMass Lowell (6-9) and UNH (6-9) are right behind. UMBC (5-11) will be the No. 8 seed in the upcoming playoffs.
BRYANT WINS AT MAINE, COMPLETES WEEKEND SWEEP
Bryant completed a weekend sweep on Saturday, earning a 80-72 victory in Orono over the Black Bears. It came on the heels of a thrilling 79-78 win at UMass Lowell on Thursday.
Both victories were the first Bryant wins in those venues at the Division I level.
On Saturday, Rafael Pinzon hit six threes and finished with 28 points to lead the Bulldogs. Earl Timberlake added 15 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 blocks.
EARL HAVING HECKUVA YEAR
Earl Timberlake is enjoying one of the best seasons in Bryant program history, entering Tuesday averaging 15.4 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 4.7 apg, 1.75 bpg and 0.96 spg.
He has posted 11 double-doubles on the year, second-most in the conference.
In league play, Timberlake is averaging 14.7 ppg, 9.6 rpg, 4.8 apg and 2.3 bpg.
FIVE MORE THINGS TO KNOW
Timberlake was a key part of Bryant’s sweep last week, averaging 16.0 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 6.5 apg, 2.5 bpg and 2.0 spg.
Rafael Pinzon posted a team-high 28 points on Saturday at Maine and is now averaging 28.2 ppg over his last five Saturday contests. He has scored 27+ points in all five of those games. The performance lifted his season average to 18.6 ppg, which ranks second in the America East.
Barry Evans posted 14 points and eight rebounds at Maine to complete a solid two-game road trip. He is now averaging 13.0 ppg and 6.5 rpg in America East play. Evans had a big day against UNH in January, finishing with 18 points, eight rebounds, three steals and three blocks.
Connor Withers will play his 145th collegiate game on Tuesday night. He has scored 1,207 points, while adding 708 rebounds, 300 assists, 164 blocks and 180 steals in his illustrious career.
Bryant enters Tuesday ranked 3rd nationally with 5.9 blocks per game. That number jumps to 6.9 blocks per game in America East play.
