Cranston woman found guilty in deadly 2020 hit-and-run

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Attorney General Peter Neronha said that a Cranston woman was found guilty in the hit-and-run death of Donald Boss in 2020.
24-year-old Skyla Gilroy was found guilty on charges of driving to endanger resulting in death and failure to stop after being involved in an accident that resulted in death.
On Dec. 22, 2020, Boss was struck and killed while walking in front of the Speedway Gas station on Airport Road around 4 a.m. in order to buy drugs.
Warwick police said Boss died from his injuries after he was dragged by the vehicle.
Police added that Gilroy was the seller’s girlfriend.
She was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Surprise, Arizona on Feb. 12, 2021.
She is scheduled for sentencing on May 23, 2025.
