NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — The man who killed two of his friends and injured another in North Attleborough in 2019 has been resentenced, according to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn.

25-year-old Daniel Randall, of North Attleborough, was sentenced in July 2023 to serve two consecutive life sentences without parole.

On May 30, 2025, Randall was resentenced to serve two consecutive terms to the State Prison of not less than 30 years to life on the first degree murder convictions, according to the Bristol County District Attorney’s office.

The defendant was resentenced following the Supreme Court case, Commonwealth v. Mattis, which “found that life sentences without parole for emerging adults, individuals between the ages of eighteen and twenty years old, were unconstitutional.”

At the time of the murders, Randall was 19 years old.

On Aug. 29, 2019, Randall was at his home with his friend Aidan Hanrahans and two of Aidan’s friends.

The Bristol County District Attorney’s office said that while the four were in Randall’s bedroom, he armed himself with a knife and “stabbed Aidan Hanrahan and Joshua Lemken to death,” who were both 21 years old.

Randall then chased 21-year-old Erik Lundstedt with the knife and stabbed him multiple times. He survived the attack.

Randall was found a short time later at a nearby apartment complex after he called 911 and confessed to police that he killed somebody.

The knife was found outside Randall’s home.
