State police identify victims in fatal highway crash

WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island State Police have identified the three victims of Tuesday’s fatal crash in West Warwick.

The driver was 23-year-old Brandon L. Verrocchio of West Greenwich.

The two passengers were 22-year-old Gianni Guerrieri, also of West Greenwich, and 21-year old Alex Banner of Exeter.

The crash happened at 1:55 a.m. on Tuesday morning near Exit 8 on Route 95 South.

Verrocchio, Guerrieri, and Banner all graduated from Exeter West Greenwich High School within the last five years.

“Obviously this is a tragic loss for the Exeter-West Greenwich community. We are respecting the privacy of the families that have been impacted, and offer them our deepest condolences during this unimaginable time,” said Superintendent James Erinakes.
