After Announcing Retirement, Muller Wins Opening Match in Newport

One day after announcing his retirement, 35 year old Gilles Muller beat Marcos Baghdatis in straight sets, 7-6, 6-3 in the opening round of Newport’s Dell Technologies Hall of Fame Open. 

Nicolas Mahut also advanced after his opponent, American Ryan Harrison forfeited due to injury.
