WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — After Matthew Dennison was killed by an alleged drunk driver two months ago, advocates are now calling for “safe roads for all.”

With April being Distracted Driving Awareness month, the West Warwick community came together Thursday to raise awareness about the dangers of drunk driving.

Back in February, Alexander Krajewski was accused of driving drunk and crashing into Dennison and his teammate Kevin MacDonald.

Dennison died from his injuries and MacDonald suffered minor injuries, police said.

Dennison was the captain of the West Warwick/Exeter-West Greenwich hockey team.
