Big Brothers Big Sisters launches new mentoring program for boys

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rhode Island and Providence Alphas launched the Little Brotherhood, a new mentoring initiative with a flag football game at Donigian Memorial Park Saturday.

The program is a bi-monthly group mentoring program designed for boys ages 11 to 14.

Organizers said the program was inspired by local influencer and community advocate Tropicana Danny, “whose passion for mentorship, positivity, and youth empowerment helped shape the vision.”

Each session includes interactive activities, conversations about healthy choices and self-expression, and opportunities to connect with mentors and peers

Anyone interested in volunteering for the program can email mentoring@bigsri.org.
